Playntra started with a simple frustration. Finding a good pair of shoes online shouldn’t feel like a gamble, yet so often it does. You scroll through endless listings, guess at the sizing, and hope that what arrives at your door actually looks and feels like the photos. We thought there had to be a better way.

That idea turned into something real in the summer of 2026. On 1 August 2026, our founder Usman Faruki officially registered FARUKIO LTD at Companies House as a private limited company in England and Wales, and Playntra was born as its online footwear store. From the very first day, the goal was clear: build a shop that people in the UK could trust for quality footwear without the usual headaches.

We’re based in Manchester, a city that knows a thing or two about style, hard work and keeping it real. That spirit shapes everything we do. We’re not a faceless warehouse or a giant marketplace. We’re a small, independent business that cares about every order, every customer and every pair of shoes that leaves our hands.

At Playntra, we carefully choose the footwear we stock.
